A "Welcome to 3rd grade" display
I do this display every single year. Regardless of what age group I start teaching. It is so eye-appealing and happy that I am always cheerful when walking into a room and seeing it first. That is exactly why I decide to make this display first (well, ok, second, as the first one was on the behavior rules).
These are the specific information on what I used to make this display:
- laminated people (I cut shapes from colored cartboard, stuck them together and then laminated them. Some of these people have laminated eyes, some have googly eyes, that's because they were made in different years :) )
- paper table liner for the background, pinned to the board and stuck with double side tape for security
- black carboard border that I have cut myself (ouch) and stuck with double side tape to the backgroud
- push pins
That's basically it.
This board will stay this way for the first weeks of September and then it will be replaced for Science and Art display, once we actually start producing some works that will be worth hanging.
